As such, they may have a beneficial effect on cardiovascular (CV) health in those with type 2 diabetes. Our objective is to examine whether or not there are quantitative CV benefits from infrared sauna use.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1499267110420079?casa_token=AG_YAPFeTfYAAAAA:7reJMtmG2DqGvNRowt12pgvSljRsBxGH-ladsn-Qy1xexoQBWhXlSE13meWDRELpKMFKjZTbqpk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Improved Blood Pressure from Far-Infrared Saunas<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A study investigating the effects of far-infrared saunas on the cardiovascular system involved 22 subjects with type 2 diabetes. These participants underwent 20-minute infrared sauna sessions, three times a week for three months. The athletes were divided into two groups with the experimental group using infrared heat every evening for four days. The results showed the experimental group had an increased testosterone\/cortisol ratio, signifying the athletes had more testosterone in their bodies. The results of the study demonstrated an improvement of muscle stiffness and pain by the patients. Twenty-three female athletes were split into two groups: one used IRS for recovery, and the other did not, during a 6-week strength and power training program. Both groups improved in leg press performance, muscle mass, and muscle size.
